lIFESTYLE PROPERTY SERVICES - Fertiliser Application
If you are time poor and own a lifestyle block that demands a significant portion of that time in its maintenance, then we have the answer for you.
We look after people that don't have the time or the equipment to get the most out of their Lifestyle Blocks and pastures.
You could spend your money purchasing and maintaining specialist equipment to mow, spray, or fertilise your lifestyle block.
You could spend your time using this equipment a few times a year.
You could try and deal with the hassle of trying to do the job yourself
You could save the hassle and call us to sort it for you.
We can arrange an automated monthly/yearly schedule so you never need to lift a finger but know the job will be done.
Healthy soil and pasture means healthier animals, with the ability to run more animals, it means the vines you plant are healthy, not to mention the aesthetic value of seeing a paddock/vineyard/orchard of grass, not weeds. Soil fertility is about the capacity of the soil to provide nutrients to growing plants of the right kind in the right proportion at the right rate. We can offer you fertiliser and biological activators to increase the microbe activity in your soils and put life back into them.
Ideally fertiliser is applied in Autumn and Spring to take advantage of warm or warming soil and warmer frequent rain fall to support maximum growth. However we have had surprisingly great results applying certain liquid fertilisers through the low growth periods
Application of fertiliser in summer can have good effects on pasture
This was essentially an empty Activse fertiliser drum rinsed out and emptied on our lawn in the middle of summer. We had 5ml of rain 8 days later and the growth where the drum had been emptied is clearly obvious.
Fertiliser application in in Winter can have amazing effects on your pastures particularly when combined with a growth enhancer.
On the left (above on mobile view) is a pasture recently grazed out in August.
On the right (below on mobile view) is the same pasture 8 days later having had seaweed flake fertiliser and Gibberellic Acid applied which is a growth enhancer.
We can apply liquid fertiliser via a boom spray bar, a rose nozzle or hand gun depending on the type of paddock/area and fertiliser.
We can also apply solid fert via a spreader behind the ATV or as shown below a Quad bike. Here we are applying a powdered mix of hydrated lime and gypsum to clay pastures.
You can supply your own spray/fertiliser or we can source and supply for you. If you prefer to supply your own however are not sure where to start, we will discuss your requirements and give you a couple of suitable options
We have the equipment, skills and knowledge to keep your lifestyle property paddocks looking great with our ATV powered mower and spraying. We can look after your other maintenance requirements just ask. We are Redwood Valley locals so know the local weather and conditions.
You will be surprised what can be achieved with a relatively small investment however the results you see will be tangible.
